Establishing balance

Module Overview

Originated by: Dr Vjeran Katunaric

The emergence of life is not entirely explained in science. Yet, it certainly has to do with balance. Most probably, the existence of water is indispensable for life to emerge and develop in varieties of forms. To get a picture of life-worlds as an evolutionary process we can start with the example of climate.

In this module we look at why different forms of the lifeworld need balance and a broad connecting field between them.

We will explore

  • What makes up our world in terms of the physical environment?
  • What are the critical components of a sustainable environment?
  • What are the threats to a balanced eco system?
  • Why is the eco systems being damaged?
  • What can we do to help establish balance?
