Module Overview
Originated by Dr. Viktorija Radotic
Consciousness is the state or quality of awareness or, of being aware of an external object or something within oneself. It has been defined in various ways: the ability to experience or to feel wakefulness, having a sense of selfhood or soul, and the executive control system of the mind. Emotion is any conscious experience characterised by intense mental activity and a high degree of pleasure or displeasure. In this module we look at what part the brain plays in consciousness and ‘the wiring’ that drives our emotions.
