CPD and coaching

Neuroscience is influencing educational thinking and practice across the world. Insights from neuroscience are relevant for learners at all levels of ability (including those with disorders, low and high ability) and all phases and ages across the lifespan.

Our Customised Training Solutions aim to embed the concept of long-term learning and growth in your school. Our training solutions engage staff in learning and equip them to effectively apply what they learn. Teachers receive a customised plan over a specified timeframe focused on fostering a culture of innovation through PSHE and Science.

We provide a broad education covering molecular, cellular, systems, computational and cognitive neuroscience. Our coaches will help you immerse this existing theme within your Science and PSHE topics. Having a Coach is like having your very own expert by your side, whilst planning your classroom activities and lesson plans.

2. Staff development in neuroeducation and metacognitive continuous research developments

This approach has a focus on staff development and is designed as a set of continuous, monthly updated resources for teachers to keep current on, focused on relevant neuroscience research developments on how children learn, how the memory functions effectively and how to develop a ‘toolkit’ for dealing with the multitude of mental health challenges that teachers come across.

As we are aware that teachers do not have the time to read lengthy research papers (especially if they are using their spare time to find strategies to help each individual child in their classes), we embrace the importance of teaching metacognitive skills with brief, information-rich, professional development modules to teachers at both primary and secondary curriculum.

Teachers can select from a wide variety of important areas, including:

  • Critical Thinking skills
  • Behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • Emotional awareness and psychological therapy
  • Stress reduction
  • Mindfulness and cognitive therapy
  • Nutritional wellbeing
  • Anxiety management
  • Educational neuroscience
  • Child sociology and development
  • Social psychology
  • Metacognition and self-regulation
  • Self-regulated learning
  • Mental health and mental disorders
  • Relief, assertiveness, study skills and problem solving
  • Relaxation techniques

These can also be delivered as:

  • INSET Days
  • Challenge Days
  • Study Skills
  • SENCO skills, one to one with staff to build creativity into teaching approach
  • School’s pastoral team
