Avoid hurting other people

Module Overview

Originated by Prof. Felicia Rivera Megret

Unintentionally hurting people’s feelings is often painful for the person who did the hurting. For the one who got hurt, it can be just as difficult to heal from as a physical wound. Words can hurt, but you have the power to control what you say to someone else.  In this module we look at bullying from the point of view of the importance of people’s feelings and encouraging learners to think carefully about the impact of their behaviour on others.

We will explore

  • Why hurting other people’s feelings hurts you too
  • What is bullying?
  • Different types of bullying
  • How does it feel to be bullied
  • How can we work together to stop bullying?

We are continously working to improve and update our material to ensure it is meeting the needs of students and teachers alike.

All modules are delivered to you via email through a downloadable link.

Our programmes include a range of learning materials to support both teachers and students in the classroom. Content wise, each module is different but some components are common to all to provide assessment tools for teachers and familiar references for students.

This module includes

  • Lesson plan
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Bullying scenarios worksheet
  • Teacher assessment
  • Role play activities

We believe that some topics are approached more powerfully by bringing in animation. That is why some of the topics have videos to illustrate the learning points
