Concerns

Module Overview

Originated by: Dr Felicia Rivera Megret

Worry or concerns is a word used to signify thoughts, images, and emotions of a negative nature in a repetitive, uncontrollable manner.  Everyone experiences worry a times throughout their lives – it is part of being human. Worry becomes problematic if a person has been excessively apprehensive over many months.

This module looks at emotions and how they affect the way we think and provides an introduction to emotional intelligence.

We will explore

  • What are worries and concerns?
  • Why is it helpful to address them if we can?
  • What can we do to help ourselves and others with concerns?
  • What is emotional intelligence?
  • How can we develop this?
