Module Overview
Originated by Prof. Arvid Bave
Ethics or moral philosophy is a branch of philosophy that involves recommending and defending concepts of right and wrong conduct. The term ethics originated from Ancient Greek ἠθικός meaning “habit or custom”. In this module, we explore what ‘ethics’ means, how can ethics be a positive force in life and what are the challenges of being ethical? The class also looks at acknowledging others’ ethical behaviour and how we can display ethical behaviour.
