Module Overview

Originated by: Dr Felicia Rivera Megret

Kindness is a behaviour marked by ethical characteristics, a pleasant disposition, and concern and consideration for others. It is considered a virtue, and is recognized as a value in societies, cultures and religions.

This module looks at what make kindness a positive personal quality, how it can be developed and created as a lifelong habit.

We will explore

  • The topic of developing kindness
  • Developing it as a skill
  • The core elements of affection, habit forming, confidence and acceptance
  • Working in pairs and groups to do ‘kind’ things
  • Harnessing the kindness habit

We are continously working to improve and update our material to ensure it is meeting the needs of students and teachers alike.

This module includes

  • Lesson plan
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Observation of thoughts
  • Teacher assessment
  • Class activities

We believe that some topics are approached more powerfully by bringing in animation. That is why some of the topics have videos to illustrate the learning points
