Our comfort zone

Module Overview

Originated by: Dr Felicia Rivera Megret

A comfort zone is a psychological state in which things feel familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. In this state of mind, a steady level of performance is possible.

This module looks what may happen over time if we remain in our comfort zone when we have other aspirations.

We will explore

  • What does it mean to be in our comfort zone?
  • The potential risk of remaining in our comfort zone
  • Why do we need new challenges?
  • Where in the brain does our comfort zone sit?
  • Exploring our aspirations and how to extend our comfort zone
