Our identity

Module Overview

Originated by Dr. Vjeran Kathunaric

Our self-identity is a collection of beliefs about ourselves that includes elements such as academic performance, gender identity, sexual identity, and racial identity. Generally, self-concept embodies the answer to “Who am I?”. Self-concept is made up of self-perceptions, and past, present, and future selves. In this module, we look at our own identity and that of our class/group.

We will explore

  • Who am I?
  • What makes me unique?
  • How I identify with my friends
  • Our class identity
  • How can we build positively on our identity?

We are continously working to improve and update our material to ensure it is meeting the needs of students and teachers alike.

This module includes

  • Lesson plan
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Key vocabulary
  • Reflection worksheet
  • Teacher assessment

We believe that some topics are approached more powerfully by bringing in animation. That is why some of the topics have videos to illustrate the learning points
