Psychological health and wellbeing

Module Overview

Originated by Dr. Viktorija Radotic

Mental wellbeing describes our mental state – how we are feeling and how well we are able to cope with day-to-day living.  Lots of different factors affect our mental state and our mental wellbeing can change from moment to moment, day to day, month to month or year to year. In this module we examine what contributes to a positive mental state and what can adversely affect it. We work with mind maps to explore our own wellbeing reflections, look at the importance of engaging in the world around us, and find out how helpful exercise is in developing psychological health and wellbeing.

We will explore

  • What determines psychological health and wellbeing?
  • Exploring mind maps
  • How excercise helps psychological health and wellbeing
  • How does stress affect the body?
  • How can we support our psychological health and wellbeing?

We are continously working to improve and update our material to ensure it is meeting the needs of students and teachers alike.

We believe that some topics are approached more powerfully by bringing in animation. That is why some of the topics have videos to illustrate the learning points
