Originated by: Felicia Rivera Megret

Spatial Intelligence is an area in the theory of multiple intelligences that deals with spatial judgment and the ability to visualize with the mind’s eye. It is defined as a human computational capacity that provides the ability or mental skill to solve spatial problems of navigation, visualization of objects from different angles and space, faces or scenes recognition, or to notice fine details.

This module looks the concept of spatial intelligence, how it can be developed and the benefits of doing so.

We will explore

  • What is spatial intelligence?
  • Observing line, colour, shape, space and the relationship between them
  • Stimulating spatial intelligence through art, design and images
  • Why is developing spatial intelligence an asset?
  • Discovering ways we use our spatial intelligence

This module includes

  • Lesson plan
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Observation of thoughts
  • Teacher assessment

We believe that some topics are approached more powerfully by bringing in animation. That is why some of the topics have videos to illustrate the learning points
