Understanding behaviour thorough psychology

Module Overview

Originated by: Dr Vasselin Dafov

The word philosophy comes from the Greek “love of wisdom” and is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Philosophical methods include questioning, critical discussion, rational argument, and systematic presentation. Classic philosophical questions include: “Do humans have free will?”

This module looks at an introduction to philosophy asking students to discuss what they view as philosophical topics, and doing drawing to illustrate their ideas.

We will explore

  • What is philosophy?
  • Class discussion following a YouTube video
  • Drawing to explore a philosophical topic
  • Why is philosophy important to us?
  • How we can use philosophy in our lives today

We are continously working to improve and update our material to ensure it is meeting the needs of students and teachers alike.
