Moral psychology

Moral psychology is a field of study in both philosophy and psychology. Broadly this also includes any topics at the where psychology, and philosophy of mind meet. Some of the main topics of the field are ethics, moral judgment, moral reasoning moral sensitivity, moral responsibility, moral motivation, moral identity, moral action, moral development, moral diversity moral character, altruism, and moral disagreement.

This module looks at ethics, the actions and behaviour of others, and developing our characters.

  • What is ethics?
  • Why we care about the behaviour of others
  • Respect for others
  • Egoism and altruism
  • Consequences of ethics behaviour

Our programmes include a range of learning materials to support both teachers and students in the classroom. Content wise, each module is different but some components are common to all to provide assessment tools for teachers and familiar references for students.
